By twelve, she was singing in a gospel choir, where she quickly learned to navigate both soprano and alto roles—revealing a natural versatility and ear for harmony. Her journey in music has taken her from auditioning for American Idol to performing in front of thousands, opening for the Sacramento Kings and the River Cats, and electrifying crowds at car shows and community events.

In November 2024, Maria became a vital part of The Deviant Strays, infusing the band with her rich, soulful tone and infectious energy.
